Being a non-profit organization, the EDAS relies heavily on its dedicated volunteers who come from various age groups and play several different roles at the Barrie Fair and our other events. Our volunteers have the option to participate casually or take on more substantial roles, like becoming Barrie Fair committee members or committee heads. There are various volunteering opportunities within the EDAS, including assisting in the builds of parade floats, attending community events, and providing event support. 

Our EDAS membership is designed to allow the public to purchase memberships that grants them the ability to vote on various important matters. This includes electing individuals for seats on our Board of Directors, deciding on property developments or removals, and making decisions that have a significant impact on our Agricultural Society as a whole. 

The Board of Directors at the EDAS are integral to the changes and progression within our Society. Our Board of Directors consist of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Directors. These roles carry duties such as, but are not limited to, establishing goals, directing affairs, managing financials, creating community connections and representing the EDAS. To be a part of our BOD, you must be nominated internally by an existing member.
